Aaron Eyett was taken to hospital as Holbeach United suffered a second successive home defeat.

The former Boston Town midfielder was carried off on a stretcher following the 74th-minute challenge which led to a red card for Rothwell Corinthians defender Kalon Peniasko.

It was feared that Eyett had broken his ankle but X-rays revealed serious ligament damage which will rule him out of action for eight weeks.

It was a bad day from start to finish for Holbeach who conceded after only 20 seconds.

Andrew White fired into the bottom corner and then doubled the advantage on 63 minutes following a mistake by Stacy Cartwright.

Almost immediately Tom Gosling pulled one back with a far-post finish but White came close to a hat-trick when his effort rebounded off the woodwork.
