Bourne boss Rafa Mazzarrella was delighted with his side as they defeated Langtoft 6-0 on Tuesday.
Jezz Goldson-Williams and Cardin Pierre-Liverpool, who both followed him from Peterborough Northern Star Reserves in the summer, hit two apiece while Tom Cardall and Danny Pick also found the net.
Mazzarrella, who guided the PNS second-string to the runners-up spot in the UCL Reserve League last season, has brought several of that squad to Bourne.
Just over half of his side is made up of players who were with him last season and Goldson-Williams is already making his mark in front of goal.
Mazzarrella said: “He’s raw but he’s as strong as an ox and he’s fast. He has all the attributes you look for in a striker but we just need to refine him.”
We treated Tuesday’s game like a league match and it was the first time it’s all really come together.”
The Wakes face a very difficult match at home to Stamford in their final pre-season game on Saturday.
