Spalding United are planning to boost their attacking options against the league’s leakiest defence.
The Tulips face a trip on Saturday to Loughborough Dynamo, who are stuck in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South relegation zone.
The Leicestershire side have conceded 72 goals in 28 league games, which is the worst record this season.
Spalding are hoping to create more chances than they could manage in last weekend’s goalless draw at home to Sheffield.
Assistant-manager Danny Hussey said: “The main issue is that we are not scoring enough goals.
“We have created more chances in previous games but there wasn’t a lot of clever play on both sides last time as we cancelled each other out.
“We know we’ve got the players who can open up defences and we need to improve on Saturday.
“The pitch should suit us at Loughborough and we are considering a change of formation to help as well.
“We might go back to the 4-4-2 system which we like.
“We need to keep picking up points. Last Saturday was a poor draw for us at home but we didn’t deserve to win as we didn’t create chances.”
