Holbeach United are close to completing a double deal for wingers called Louis.

The Tigers want to bring in ex-Stamford player Louis Hamilton and Boston United youth-team product Louis Saebe.

Assistant-manager Tom Roberts said: “Hamilton will be involved on Saturday and hopefully we can tie up the loose ends.

“He is very quick and he has been very impressive.

“Saebe has also done well and we will be looking to get something sorted out in the next few days, probably on dual registration.”

Hamilton was on target in Tuesday’s 3-0 friendly win at March Town along with Josh Ford and Andrew Tidswell.

The match was switched due to concerns over the state of the Carter’s Park pitch but the home game goes ahead on Saturday against Lincoln United.

Roberts said: “We need to make sure we are ready for our last friendly.

“Now is the time to put things right ahead of the first league game at Desborough Town next week.

“We’ve got to iron out a couple of creases and work on a few bits and pieces but we are not that far off.”

Boston boss Dennis Greene revealed at the weekend that highly-rated goalkeeper Sam Vince is set to join Holbeach on loan.

Roberts added: “That’s still up in the air and not 100 per cent but it could be in the pipeline if he’s available.”

Meanwhile, Scott Mooney fired a hat-trick in Deeping Rangers’ 4-2 midweek win over Peterborough United under-18s. The other goal came from Jezz Goldson-

Deeping are at home to Fakenham Town on Saturday (2pm kick-off).

Bourne Town will take on Stamford in the Wilf Notley Memorial Cup at Abbey Lawn on Saturday following a 4-3 defeat at Pinchbeck United on Tuesday night.

Wyberton will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Saturday. A match between former club greats and the present Lincolnshire League side kicks off at 3pm.
