Michael Goode reflected on “one of my best weeks in football management” after Deeping Rangers made it three successive wins.
Three goals in an eight-minute spell during the second half secured three points on Tuesday night.
That followed the 3-0 win at Sleaford Town last Wednesday and the 1-0 home verdict over Dereham Town to set up next week’s FA Cup first qualifying round trip to Leek Town.
Wisbech went in front through Stuart Cobb on the hour. Fraser Sturgess levelled after 68 minutes and five minutes later Billy Oliver put Rangers in front.
Deeping’s success was sealed by Sturgess’ second goal of the night after 76 minutes as a 30-yard free-kick went in.
Deeping boss Goode said: “I’m really pleased.
“Over seven days we’ve had three totally different and challenging games.
“I’m over the moon to win at Wisbech and the lads put in a good shift.
“There were a lot of tired legs after Saturday which was a slight concern because we worked so hard to keep that 1-0 lead.
“The players who came in did a great job.
“Three wins mean this has been one of my best weeks in football management.”
Deeping face a trip to Goode’s former club Peterborough Northern Star on Saturday when Luke Avis and Scott Ginty could be back in the squad.
Goode said: “Although it was disappointing to leave Northern Star by getting sacked from a voluntary job in that manner, the timing was perfect as I took a three-month break and then came to Deeping where I grew up.”
Dan Flack is unavilable and Jack Cotton faces tests on a sore hamstring.
