After one pre-season friendly – the 1-1 draw away to King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday night – Spalding take on last season’s Vanarama National League North play-off semi-finalists.
Frecklington said: “This should be a walkover – but games are not played on paper.
“We’ll set up with a plan to try to be aggressive and get a foothold in the game.
“We will need to frustrate them and try to hit them on the counter-attack.
“That’s the way I’d like to play but coming away from Boston with a good result is going to be a massive task.
“They have a new squad and I’m sure they will want to put things right after a 3-0 home defeat against Lincoln City in midweek.
“Dennis Greene is finding out what he has got and we’re in the same position here.
“We’ve got a really good starting XI but we are still looking to strengthen the squad with a bit of quality.
“Every time you pull on the shirt you want to win the game, whether it’s pre-season or the 50th match.”
Spalding player-coach Chris Hamilton is set to miss out again because of work commitments.
Right-back Paul Walker faces another check on his quad muscle strain.
Striker Charley Sanders has joined Yaxley.
Frecklington added: “He was unable to commit so he moved on. We wish him all the best.”
Only the Main Stand will be open at the Jakemans Stadium on Saturday.
Admission costs £6 (adult), £3 (concession) and £1 (under-16).
The winners will be away to Stamford who beat Grimsby Town 2-1 at the Zeeco Stadium on Wednesday night.
In the other semi-final, Lincoln City will go to Lincoln United or Gainsborough Trinity who play on Saturday.
The date and venue for the final will be agreed when the teams are known.
