Holbeach United captain Jamie Stevens may be ruled out of action until February.

He faces a two-month lay-off with ankle ligament damage.

The central defender went to hospital for checks after being hurt in the first half of last week’s 4-1 home defeat to Peterborough Sports.

However, the Tigers will be boosted by the return of Josh Ford and Ollie Pinner on Saturday.

Matt Warfield and Nick Jackson are unavailable for the home game against Rothwell Corinthians.

Jack Smith is missing due to injury and Holbeach are awaiting an update on Stacy Cartwright’s fitness.

Meanwhile, officials are due to meet again tonight (Wednesday) to discuss the appointment of a new manager.

Caretaker-boss Martyn Cundy has ruled himself out of contention.
