Kirton Town edged out Old Doningtonians in a five-goal thriller in the all-Boston League tie.

The Dons, trailing 2-0 at the break, got back into it through Danny Goodacre’s penalty before Town added another.

Chris Wing pulled another goal back when he chested the ball down before firing home from 12 yards to make it 3-2 but Kirton held out for a narrow victory.

Pointon’s efforts came to an end in extra-time as they finally ran out of steam at home to Louth Town.

They went 5-1 down but clawed their way back and replied with a four-goal blitz to bring the scores level.

Pointon tired in extra-time and Louth scored four more times to run out 9-5 winners.

Pointon’s goals came from Sam Husband (3), Casey Kemp and Harry Tomlinson.

Swineshead Institute enjoyed a comfortable passage when they outplayed Louth Old Boys at home.

Bert Snaith did most of the damage, hitting four goals in a 5-0 victory while Alex Snaith grabbed the other.

Peterborough League top-flight team Crowland Town won 6-1 at Susie Star.

Ben Partridge and Kurt Scott struck but Division One side Sutton Bridge United lost 4-2 at Tetney Rovers.
