Scott Coupland says strength in depth can keep Deeping Rangers towards the top of the table this term.
The former Sleaford Town skipper has made a stunning start with his new club by scoring five times in three games.
Coupland claimed a hat-trick in last weekend’s 6-1 home win over Boston Town in the Emirates FA Cup extra preliminary round to set up a tie with Dereham Town.
He said: “We have been pleased with our last two performances when we won pretty comfortably.
“We have got players to come back into the squad so there will be a lot of strength in depth. If we play to our potential then hopefully we will be there or thereabouts in the league.
“We need to keep going and start the next game in confident fashion. Hopefully we can continue to pick up points.”
Deeping’s first away game of the season is on Saturday at Oadby Town in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League’s Premier Division.
