Spalding United slipped to a fifth successive defeat but remain fourth in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South play-off pack.

Top scorer Josh Moreman marked his return from a three-match ban to hit the equaliser on the stroke of half-time at Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Joe Mumsden put the Sheffield side ahead after three minutes and Corey Gregory got the winner midway through the second period.

It finished 10-a-side as Deeping Rangers lost 2-1 at Cogenhoe United in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

Skipper David Burton-Jones had equalised from the penalty spot after an own-goal put the Cooks in front. Jack Bowen got the winner with another spot-kick.

The top-of-the-table clash between Holbeach United and league leaders Leicester Nirvana at Carter’s Park was called off “due to unfit parts of the pitch”.

Bourne Town’s trip to Bugbrooke St Michaels in Division One was also postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
