Confidence is the key word for Pinchbeck United ahead of Friday’s cup final.
A run of six successive wins started last month when they overturned a half-time deficit to inflict Moulton Harrox’s first defeat of the Premier Division campaign.
Player-manager Ian Dunn said: “We’ve now won 16 out of 17 since February so we are full of confidence.
“Over the past few weeks we’ve been able to rotate the squad as well.
“We have used a lot of lads from the under-16s as well as two or three through our connections with Boston United’s youth team.
“We’ve been able to rest a few players so it has been ideal to give half-an-hour or 45 minutes instead of a full game.

“We played a strong side last Saturday going into this week’s final so we are looking forward to it now.
“Psychologically we got a boost from that home league win against Moulton.
“It proved crucial going into the final as we didn’t want them to win the title at our ground.
“Friday’s final should be a real showpiece occasion with good support.
“We’re playing at a new stadium which is nice for the lads as well.
“If we had been playing at Spalding United or Holbeach United, for example, we may have got more people in the crowd but most of the lads have already played there.
“So going to Stamford will make it a bit more special for all of us.”
