It was a black Saturday for teams in the Peterborough and District Football League, with defeats for Pinchbeck United, Moulton Harrox and Deeping Rangers Reserves.

Crowland Town were the only side for our area to salvage any pride on the last day of league action after a 3-3 at Uppingham Town.

Pinchbeck United were on the wrong end of a 9-0 hammering at Peterborough ICA Sports, Moulton Harrox went down 2-1 at Oakham United and Deeping Rangers lost 5-1 to Leverington Sports at Outgang Road.

There was better news for Langtoft United who lifted the Chairman’s Champion Shield with a 1-0 extra time win over AFC Stanground in Peterborough.

But the only game in Division Two saw Holbeach United Reserves lose 2-1 at Thorney.#
