FOOTBALL: Wilson treble in rout

PINCHBECK UNITED 9 POINTON 0: IAN Dunn admitted his Pinchbeck side could have scored “15 or 16” as they got their Lincs Junior Cup campaign off to the perfect start.

Luke Wilson helped himself to a hat-trick, while Tom Gosling (2), Dan Woods (2), Mark Lovelace and Oliver Maltby were also on target.

After a slow start to the season, it’s now five wins on the spin for United.

Player/boss Dunn said: “We always knew we’d be strong favourites, but it was encouraging to create so many chances.

“The lads are gelling together well and the confidence is now flowing. Everybody is coming back to fitness too, I’ve got a bit of a selection headache with 21 players wanting a game. But it’s a good problem to have.”
