COGENHOE UNITED 0 DEEPING RANGERS 0: Prolific Deeping failed to score for the first time this season in the UCL Premier Division as third-placed Cogenhoe held them to a goalless draw.
Potentially one of the games of the season so far, heavy rain and gusty wind put paid to it as a spectacle before a ball was kicked.
Rangers’ second draw of the season sees them fall a point behind new leaders Spalding United, having played two games more than the Tulips.
Tuncay Korkmaz’s side had the wind at their backs in the first period and created a couple of decent chances.
Alex Beck worked home keeper Matt Finlay with an early drive, as did Josh Moreman from a 30-yard free kick.
Also denied by the home keeper was Mitch Griffiths and Scott Ginty, while skipper Dave Burton-Jones headed wide from a corner.
It was backs to the wall for the visitors in the second period, however.

Both sides did have chances to pinch the points, but a draw was a fair result on a day that just wasn’t conducive for decent football.
Deeping are back in action tonight when they make the tricky trip to resurgent Wisbech Town (7.45pm).
