FOOTBALL: We’ve Dunn nothing yet - Pinchbeck boss

Have your say

PINCHBECK United player/boss Ian Dunn has urged his side to keep their feet on the ground after Saturday’s sensational 10-0 win at Oundle Town.

The title favourites currently sit second in the Peterborough Premier Division, two points behind leaders King’s Cliffe with four games in hand.

And although Dunn admits his side have the fate of the championship in their own hands, he knows there’s plenty still to do.

“It’s fair to say we’re in a great position, but we’ve won nothing yet,” said the former Spalding United and Holbeach United striker. “You don’t win titles in December, we’ll have a busy 2012 with plenty of three-game weeks.

“Saturday was our best performance of the season, it had been coming. We were clinical. Ollie Maltby and Luke Wilson in midfield were particularly impressive, they were a joy to play with.

“But we must keep our feet on the ground, anybody that was here last season knows how quickly things can change.”

Pinchbeck’s final game of 2011 is at Deeping Rangers Reserves on Saturday (2pm).

• Dunn also wished to thank sponsor John Lyon for his continued support – including laying on food and drink for the side after Saturday’s win.
