Spalding United have completed a double-swoop to bring Lincoln City youngsters Nick Green and Kegan Everington to the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.
The duo are highly-regarded at Sincil Bank and join fellow Imp Jordan Thomas in signing for the Tulips on loan.
Green can play at either centre back or right back, while Everington is a defensive-minded central midfielder.
Having also completed a deal to bring Boston Town striker Josh Ford to the club on Thursday, it’s been a busy week for boss Pat Rayment.
But the trio of transfers were much-needed, with skipper Jamie Stevens set to miss at least three weeks with a collarbone problem and leading scorer Andrew Tidswell also set for another spell on the sidelines.
Rayment said: “Both lads are highly thought of at Lincoln and we’re pleased to have them on-board.
“We’ve not got the biggest squad here, so it was important we added a few players this week.
“It will be an on-going thing with Lincoln, but we could have them for the rest of the season depending on how things work out.”
UCL Premier Division leaders Spalding visit second-from-bottom S & L Corby tomorrow (3pm), with new signing Ford suspended.
