Deeping Rangers have completed the signings of four Holbeach United UCL Premier Division title winners.

Dan Flack, Tommy Treacher, Mitch Griffiths and Craig Parker have all inked terms to play at Outgang Road next season.

Although Deeping player/boss Tuncay Korkmaz admits Griffiths may yet opt to head to higher-graded Stamford, he’s delighted with his quartet of captures.

The Turkish tactician said: “I’m pleased to have them signed up, they all bring value to the squad and improve on what we had.

“We already have a great bunch of lads at the club, but hopefully the new additions will gel nicely and we can aim for the top four.

“Treacher impressed me last year. He’s always held the ball up well, but now he’s added goals to his game.

“We wanted both Flack and Parker last year, but didn’t manage to get deals done. Both will add depth and versatility.

“Griffiths has told me that he wants to try his hand with Stamford and I can totally understand that, I always encourage players to go as high as they can.

“He’s signed on with us and I’m delighted with that, so we’ll have to see what happens.

“I wouldn’t say winning the title is likely at this stage, that looks to be Spalding United’s to lose.”

Korkmaz also told the Spalding Guardian that he feels ex-Tigers boss John Chand made the right decision in quitting his role at Carter’s Park after sealing the league crown last term.

He added: “When you win the league and don’t go up it’s a tough one. It’s hard to motivate yourself and the players as you really have nothing else left to prove.”

Meanwhile, Deeping have also added Oakham United youngster Jamie Forbes to their ranrks, but have lost talented winger Tom James to Wisbech Town. Forbes can play in midfield and is rated as one to watch by Korkmaz.

Rangers will kick their pre-season schedule off at home to Dereham on July 13.

They will also host promoted St Ives Town on July 20 and Lincolnshire rivals Stamford on July 23, before making trips to Mildenhall (July 27) and Ely (August 3).

All kick-off times are still TBC.
