Holbeach United will go all out to end their three-game UCL Premier Division losing streak with three points at Desborough Town on Saturday (3pm).

It’s actually the first meeting between the two this season – although Ar Tarn were leading 2-0 at Carter’s Park on January 25 before a storm saw the game abandoned.

The Tigers have only won once in 2014, but boss Glen Maddison is adamant that their season won’t fizzle out.

A creditable top ten finish is still on the cards for Holbeach with eight games to go – and Maddison is targeting a return to winning ways.

He said: “We’ve got some very tough games left, but this is certainly one we can target for three points.

“It’d really give us a boost for the rest of the season if we can go there and do the business. But it’s a tough place to go, so we’ll need to have the right mindset.

“They looked a good side briefly at our place, but I was surprised to see them lose against Newport Pagnell midweek. Hopefully that will work in our favour.”

Top scorer Tom Waumsley and Ash Murrell complete their suspensions, but Chris Shipley, Andy Law and Tom Sergeant all return.
