Holbeach United manager Glen Maddison has warned his side that they are in a fight for their UCL Premier Division survival.

The Tigers are on a nine-game losing streak ahead of tomorrow night’s (Wednesday) Carter’s Park derby with relegation rivals Sleaford Town (7.45pm).

Maddison’s men will jump above his former club with a win – and he’s issued a rallying call to his troops.

“Make no mistake, we’re in a relegation fight,” said Maddison. “This is a really big one.

“I can’t be more blunt: We have to up the ante and stop this run. Sleaford probably come into this one as favourites, but hopefully the lads will buck their ideas up and show some passion.”

Tom Sergeant and Ash Murrell are both suspended for the clash with their former side, but key defender Joe Braithwaite does return.

Meanwhile, Maddison has put in a seven-day approach for Boston Town youngster Frazer Bayliss and has shown an interest in Sleaford’s Richard Jackson.

He’s hopeful of adding a few new faces to boost the ranks of his struggling squad.
