Tonight’s (Tuesday) UCL Premier Division matches involving Holbeach United and Spalding United have both been postponed.

Top of the bill was the Tigers’ top of the table clash at St Ives Town, but the notoriously bad Westwood Road pitch (see picture, above) failed a lunchtime inspection.

Spalding’s trip to Cogenhoe United was always expected to be called off, with snow still on the Compton Park surface.

The Tulips had hoped to get the Cooks to visit the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field instead, but that idea has been rejcted.

One match looks set to beat the weather, though. Deeping Rangers Reserves host Netherton United in the Peterborough and District League Premier Division (7.30pm).
