FOOTBALL: Sixes league needs teams

Have your say

FOOTBALL Mundial are looking for teams to join their new six-a-side league in Spalding.

Games are to be held at Gleed Boys’ School’s Astroturf pitches on Thursday nights between 6.30-9.30pm, with the league getting under way later this month.

The new season will consist of one division of 12-14 teams, who will play each other twice during the season. Teams play one match each week against a different team that will consist of two halves of 14 minutes, with all games officiated by fully qualified FA referees.

Registration for the full season is free of charge, which includes registration to the league and affiliation to the local county football association.

Match fees are £26 each week, which can be paid by cash or cheque before a game to the on-site administrator or referee.

The winners of the league will receive a trophy to keep, while all teams signing up will receive free tickets for a UKPaintball centre of their choice.
