DEEPING RANGERS RESERVES 1 PINCHBECK UNITED 4: PINCHBECK signed off for 2011 with a derby success that leaves in them perfectly positioned for a title tilt.

A Luke Wilson double and strikes from Danny Maddison and Jon Butler leaves Ian Dunn’s side second in Peterborough and District Premier Division standings – just two points behind leaders King’s Cliffe with a massive four games in hand.

David Weston did reply for Rangers’ second string at Outgang Road on Saturday, but they were no match for the power of Pinchbeck.

After losing their first two league games of the season – including the reverse against Deeping – United finish the year on a 16-game winning streak, with ten of those coming in the Premier Division.

r MOULTON Harrox were edged out 4-3 in a thriller at Oakham United on Saturday.

Bobby Patterson, Ash Coddington and Martin Gordon got the Harrox goals, but they weren’t enough for a share of the spoils.

The first league game of 2012 sees Pinchbeck visit Moulton on January 14 (2pm).
