FOOTBALL: More misery for Tulips, Wakes’ run continues

Have your say

SPALDING United slumped to a 5-0 defeat at Loughborough Dynamo on Saturday, while Bourne Town made it three wins on the spin.

Luke Edwards struck after only 12 seconds to put the Tulips behind, while three goals in the last five minutes left Andy Stanhope’s side licking their wounds.

The relegated Tulips have yet to win on the road this season, taking just two points from 20 away Evo-Stik League First Division South fixtures.

In UCL Division One, Bourne stretched their unbeaten run to three games with a fine 2-0 victory over Olney Town.

Goals in either half from Keith Gray and Seb Hood sealed the points at the Abbey Lawn.

Meanwhile, Pinchbeck United slipped to a critical 3-2 loss at Ramsey Town in the Peterborough Premier Division.

Ramsey go top after the victory, with Pinchbeck six points behind with two games in hand. Jamie Cartlidge and Ryan Birtles hit the United goals.

Moulton Harrox are now just six points behind Pinchbeck, having seen off Crowland Town 3-0. Joshua Ford (2) David Kantak got the goals.

Pinchbeck and Harrox clash tomorrow night.
