Glen Maddison has snapped up two more players as his Holbeach United side slowly begins to take shape.

Wingers Liam Ogden and Tom Sargeant have inked terms with the UCL Premier Division champions – and striker Curtis Yeatman is expected to follow.

Sargeant is the fourth player to follow Maddison from former club Sleaford, while Ogden arrives from Boston United Reserves.

The new Tigers boss also told the Spalding Guardian that his move for Wyberton hitman Yeatman was pretty much “a done deal”, but revealed that a swoop for Boston Town captain Michael Wood has failed.

Maddison said: “Tom did a great job for me at the back end of last season, even filling in at centre back. He has great power and pace.

“I’m pleased we’ve managed to prise Liam away from Boston too, both lads will cause defences problems.

“Curtis has scored a lot of goals at a lower level and we’ll finalise that deal this week. I hoped Michael would follow, so it’s a shame that he’s decided to stay at Boston Town.”

Pre-season fixtures: July 17 – Parson Drove (a); July 20 – Ely C ity (a); July 27 – Stamford (a); July 31 – Skegness Utd (a); Aug 6 – Boston Utd XI (h).
