Pat Rayment is confident that his Spalding United side have the ability to deliver a memorable season.
The Tulips get their pre-season friendly fixtures under way at Crowland Town this Saturday (2pm) – and they are being tipped to win this year’s UCL Premier Division.
Spalding have added seven new players to a squad that finished third last year and won the UCL Cup, including Holbeach United quartet Jonny Allen, Andrew Tidswell, Jamie Stevens and Adam Jackson.
Rayment said: “Things are shaping up nicely. We’ve added a few new faces, but we’ve kept plenty of continuity.
“On paper, we’re geared for success – it’s now my job to make sure we deliver.
“Getting out of the UCL was always a two-year plan and as a club we have lofty ambitions.”
Nathan Stainfield and Lee Canoville miss Saturday’s game at Snowden Field.
