FOOTBALL: Harrox hit back to cost Pinchbeck dear

Have your say

Pinchbeck United 1 Moulton Harrox 3: PINCHBECK’S Peterborough and District League Premier Division title dreams took a massive hit as Harrox took the spoils at Knight Street on Wednesday night.

First-half goals from Josh Ford and Steve Sinfield gave Moulton a deserved 2-0 half-time lead, as they sought to gain revenge for a recent 4-1 home reverse against their nearest rivals.

Oliver Maltby pulled one back from distance to set up a grandstand finish, only for Ford to wrap up the game with his second.

The two-goal hero was later sent off for two bookable offences, but his job was done.

Pinchbeck are now six points behind leaders Ramsey Town with two games in hand, although they have a significantly inferior goal difference.

Fourth-placed Harrox face Ramsey next in the PFA Senior Cup final at Chestnut Avenue on Monday (7.30pm), while Pinchbeck host third-placed Uppingham Town on Saturday (3pm).
