SALTFLEET 0 PINCHBECK UTD 3: Pinchbeck still managed to keep a clean sheet despite playing 40 minutes of this Mason Bros Lincs Junior Cup tie with only nine men.

Tom Gosling will be suspended for four matches following a red card for a two-footed challenge after just ten minutes. He had already picked up a one-match ban for accruing five yellow cards this season.

And Paul Langford got his marching orders in the 50th minute after a scuffle on the edge of the area as player/manager Ian Dunn prepared to put Pinchbeck 2-0 up from the penalty spot.

The club plan to appeal Langford’s dismissal.

On the positive side, Dunn did a great job up front, regularly bringing into play wingers Luke Wilson and Andy Law.

It was Law who put Pinchbeck ahead, finishing off a “route one” goal after Dunn’s flick-on.

And the two combined in the run-up to the third goal, which was netted by Law and assisted by Lee Marshall.

Pinchbeck visit Billinghay Athletic in round three on December 3 (1.30pm).

• Moulton will host Barrowby after seeing off spirited East Lincs side Chapel Swifts 8-0.

First-half goals from Sean Gedney, Jamie Cartlidge and Steve Mastin were added to by Tom Panton and Mastin’s second.

Martin “Slugger” Gordon came off the substitutes’ bench to grab a second-half hat-trick.
