LONG Sutton Sunday lifted Spalding Sunday League’s Mont Pell Trophy after a stirring comeback at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

They beat Punchbowl 3-1 in the final of the competition for Spalding Sunday League Division Two sides.

League leaders Punchbowl went ahead with a Martyn Fox goal, but Jake Clitheroe netted two set-piece headers either side of half time to put second-placed Sutton ahead.

Joe Harrison’s late strike ensured the trophy was going to be lifted by Sutton skipper Matthew Radeloff.
