Spalding United kept their UCL Premier Division title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Desborough Town on Tuesday night.

Dan Cotton (27) and Jay Smedley (40) netted in the first half for the Tulips – and although a late Martin Anderson strike (81) gave the away side hope of pinching a point, the hosts held on.

Spalding stay third in the table after second-placed St Ives Town won 2-0 at Boston Town. Both close the gap on leaders Holbeach United.

In UCL Division One Bourne Town drew 1-1 at at Rothwell Corinthians, while in the Peterborough Premier Division Moulton Harrox beat Ramsey Town 1-0.
