FOOTBALL: Coates win puts Pinchbeck on brink of double

Have your say

PINCHBECK United can win the Peterborough and District Premier Division title this weekend after seeing off Coates Athletic 4-1 on Wednesday night.

A double from player/boss Ian Dunn led the charge at Knight Street, with Jimmy McDonnell and a Danny Maddison penalty completed the scoring.

Pinchbeck are now six points clear of second-placed King’s Cliffe United with three games left – and the duo meet on Saturday.

Should Dunn’s side win, they’ll add the league title to the PFA Senior Cup crown and complete a historic double.
