Deeping Rangers manager Michael Goode is looking at 10 transfer targets.

He wants to strengthen the Clarets' squad after finishing fifth in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division last term.

Goode said: "We need more quality out wide and some leadership all over the pitch.

"We're looking for different ways to win games because we dropped too many points so we couldn't stay in the title race to the end.

"We have played great football but the trophy cabinet is bare. We don't need Plan B - we just want to make Plan A even better.

"The committee have made it clear that we want to improve on last season, even though they won't provide extra funds to achieve that.

"We are trying to find the right balance with the same resources to be competitive at the top of the table.

"We also want to see the emergence of youth players from the under-18s who were very successful at the end of last season.

"We weren't far off last season and it takes time to build that winning mentality.

"Although we fell short in the end, we must remember we had cup runs as well. Perhaps we over-achieved in the previous season."
