FOOTBALL: Vince fits into Pinchbeck United's squad
Pinchbeck United have signed England C international midfielder Harry Vince.
The 19-year-old - who came through Boston United's youth system - is looking to regain full fitness while helping out the Knights.
Vince's contract at Matlock Town was terminated after his two-and-a-half-month absence due to a knee injury.
Pinchbeck player-manager Ian Dunn said: "He has been training with us for a couple of weeks but his match fitness is zero.
"We are helping each other out as we can give him more minutes on the pitch to get him fitter.
"In the summer, he will probably get picked up by a club at a higher level but he will be a good signing for us until the end of the season."
Vince is likely to be part of Pinchbeck's squad on Saturday at Peterborough Northern Star.
The Knights extended loan deals for Harry Limb and Liam Adams while Charlie West joined on work experience from Lincoln City.
However, Ollie Shackleton was recalled by Peterborough United and sent out to St Neots Town.
Nick Bishop and Chris Shipley have been ruled out but Tyler Wright and Nick Jackson are available.
Fourth-placed Pinchbeck are aiming to close the gap at the top of the Future Lions United Counties League Premier Division.
Dunn added: "If we want to be around the top three or four, we must win these games - simple as that.
"We can't afford to slip up so we need to assert ourselves and take our chances.
"We're unbeaten in the league since November and we must take advantage of tricky fixtures for the top three in case they drop points.
"We want to keep up the pressure and get closer.
"If we get a winning run like Deeping Rangers have been on, we will be right up there. At the moment, though, we are just a bit too far away."
Former Pinchbeck winger Josh Smith is out of Northern Star's squad due to injury.
