Pinchbeck footballers have a season to remember




Pinchbeck United Ladies' football team took a moment before their thrilling 4-4 draw at Park Ladies to capture themselves on camera.

The Knights, captained by Chloe Gray, have scored 61 goals in the season so far, winning 13 out of their 14 league games.

Their 100 per cent record was only halted at Park where striker Libby Friel scored a hat-trick to take her total goals tally to 19 for the season, two away from being the league's top scorer.

Holly Coupland scored the other goal at Park which left Pinchbeck lying second in the league, six points behind Cambridge Rangers but with four games in hand.

Pinchbeck's season has also been boosted by the form of Freya Peters, two behind Friel on 17 league goals, putting sixth among the league's top scorers.

Not far behind in Courtney Walker in 13th place with 13 goals this season.
