FOOTBALL: Smith given chance to shine with Knights

Pinchbeck United have signed teenage talent Jon Smith from Lincoln City.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder goes into the Knights’ squad against ON Chenecks at the Sir Halley Stewart Field on Saturday.

Player-manager Ian Dunn said: “We’ve brought him in to bolster our squad numbers and give him game time.

“He has been on the first-team bench at Lincoln for a couple of games recently so they obviously think highly of him.”

Smith links up with Imps youth-team colleague Charlie West for experience in the Future Lions United Counties League Premier Division.

Pinchbeck have extended the loan of Stamford forward Liam Adams.

However, Harry Limb has returned to King’s Lynn Town.
