Home win for Holbeach United, derby deadlock at Spalding United, defeats for Deeping Rangers and Bourne Town




A sixth successive home win lifted Holbeach United into third place.

The Tigers moved level on points with Deeping Rangers after the only game on Saturday afternoon in the uhlsport United Counties League Premier Division.

Captain Spencer Tinkler got the first-half opener and man of the match Liam Adams added another assist as Jonny Lockie made it 2-0.

Adam Jackson's effort was deflected in and Luke Avis completed the 4-0 victory over Peterborough Northern Star.

Meanwhile, Deeping's dreams in the Buildbase FA Vase were ended in a 3-1 home defeat to Stanway Rovers.

Former Spalding United midfielder Jack McGovern - who signed on dual registration from Grantham Town - levelled on 73 minutes for the Clarets who then conceded twice almost immediately.

Julian Joachim netted in Bourne Town's 4-1 defeat at Rushden & Higham United in UCL Division One.

Spalding came from 2-0 down to get a draw at home to Stamford in the BetVictor Northern Premier League South East Division.

Jamie Jackson levelled from the penalty spot after Lewis Brownhill pulled one back for the Tulips.
