FOOTBALL: Spalding Sunday League reward Paul Rudkin at end of landmark season

Spalding and District Sunday League presented its 2018/19 awards at the annual general meeting.

It was another landmark season for Jubilee player/manager Paul Rudkin, who has been involved in the league since the 1970s. The 61-year-old made his 900th appearance for the club and steered his side to its first-ever Knockout Cup success.

Jubilee were also runners-up in the league, edged out by Sutton St James in a winner-takes-all final match.

Rudkin capped another fine season by being named Club Secretary of the Year.
