Spalding United’s home game was abandoned on Tuesday night with nine minutes left following a neck injury to Jonny Lockie.

The teenage striker was taken to hospital by ambulance from the Sir Halley Stewart Field.

However, he posted two messages on Twitter just before 3am having got the all-clear from x-rays.

When the match was stopped, the Tulips trailed 2-0 but the Northern Premier League decided that the result would not stand so the fixture has been rearranged for Tuesday, March 27.

Promotion-chasing Frickley Athletic led thanks to goals from Danny Burns and Gav Allott.

Meanwhile, Holbeach United cruised to a 4-0 win at Peterborough Northern Star in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League Premier Division.

Mitch Griffiths, Stacy Cartwright, Will Bird and Danny Barker were on target for the Tigers.
