Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup round-up and third-round draw




Moulton Harrox have been handed another home tie in the last 16 of the Lincolnshire FA Junior Cup.

They face a tough test against Hykeham Town who are currently unbeaten in the Lincolnshire League.

Harrox recorded a 4-1 win over Long Sutton Athletic at Broad Lane last Saturday thanks to goals from Ian Bradbury, Declan Earth, Billy King and Joe Townsend.

Top scorer Corban Oldham’s double fired Crowland Town to a home success.

Second-round visitors Barnetby are unbeaten in the Scunthorpe League but Crowland created plenty of opportunities.

Barnetby put the ball in the net in the first half but the strike was ruled out for a foul.

Crowland finally got their rewards in the second half when Oldham finished from captain Peter Fox’s free-kick.

Oldham doubled the advantage following skilful work from strike partner Danny Firth.

This rounded off a good team performance and a deserved victory.

Peterborough League Division Five side Deeping United were beaten 4-3 on penalties by Wyberton after a 1-1 draw following extra-time.

Swineshead Institute were beaten 5-0 at home to Stamford Lions.

There were heavier defeats for Holbeach Bank - 9-0 at Scamblesby - and Rippingale & Folkingham who conceded seven at Benington.

Third round (November 30, 1.30pm kick-off): Horncastle v Benington, Stamford Lions v Scamblesby, Tetney Rovers v Nettleham, Crowland v Fishtoft or Kirton, Railway v Wyberton, Moulton Harrox v Hykeham, Lincoln Moorlands Railway or Limestone Rangers v Immingham, Crowle v Barrowby.
