Pinchbeck United could be crowned champions before the end of this month.

Player-manager Ian Dunn feels that four wins will be enough to mathematically secure the title.

The Knights are already 13 points clear with two games in hand on second-placed Raunds Town.

However, Harrowby United could close the gap as they face Pinchbeck home and away.

They are due to meet at the Evironcom Stadium tonight.

Dunn said: “Hopefully we can play as it’s a big game for both of us.

Our away form has given us a gap when other teams have not been as good on their travels.

“If we win the next four games, we will hit 83 points so Potton United would need to win every game to beat that.

“We need to know where we are and how long it will take to get the title.

“Harrowby are not a bad side but we know they have weaknesses.

“Their top scorer Sam Grouse is a good finisher who makes intelligent runs.

“We’ve had them watched recently and I’ve spoken to a few people as well.

“They have come on strong towards the end of the season, just like a few other clubs who are signing players to get over the line.

“We will back our squad to perform well and we’ve kept consistency.

“We expect three points but we need to keep doing what we are good at.

“We have the best record in the division away from home – including wins at Raunds, Rushden & Higham United, Olney Town and Blackstones.

“They are all in the mix so those 12 points have made a big difference.

“Our away form has given us a gap when other teams have not been as good on their travels.

“Even if we have a couple of players missing, we can bring in someone from the squad to step up.

“Our aim this season was having strength in depth with a bigger squad. That plan has proved its worth.

“Heavy pitches don’t seem to bother us and we can find a way of winning games.”

Meanwhile, Bourne Town’s home game against Stewarts & Lloyds Corby is off.

The Lincolnshire FA Under-21 Development League fixture between Spalding United and Newark Town has been postponed. It could be rearranged for Thursday night.
