Holbeach United manager Seb Hayes will be back on the touchline tonight against one of his former clubs.

He has served a five-match stadium ban for using foul and abusive language to a match official.

Hayes returns for the trip to Peterborough Northern Star as the Tigers look to hit back from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat away to Cogenhoe United.

He said: “We will get beaten again if we play like we did at the weekend.

“They will be up for it and thinking this is the perfect time to play Holbeach because we are out of form.

“In the first 20 minutes, I’m sure they will come out of the blocks quickly.

“If we go 1-0 down, we are in trouble because we’ve only turned it around once or twice all season.

“People might think that I over-react but I’m honest and realistic as a manager.

“We are a fair weather team who can go hiding.

“In the last five games when I’ve been banned, none of the players can put their hand on their heart to say they played consistently well.

“We’ve changed the team and everybody has been given a chance.

“We’ve backed the players but they need to perform well to keep the shirt.

“It needs a shake-up and if it was January, I would be putting in a series of approaches for new signings.

“We need to get ourselves back into form. I feel very let down at the moment.”

During Hayes’ suspension, Holbeach added eight points – but both wins came courtesy of stoppage-time winners and they were held to successive 1-1 draws at Carter’s Park.

Matt Warfield is available after a three-match ban for tonight’s game.

Meanwhile, the Tigers will face Grimsby Borough in the Lincolnshire FA Senior Trophy final after Cleethorpes Town were thrown out for fielding an ineligible player.

A date has yet to be fixed for the game at Lincoln City’s Sincil Bank.
