Teams are left cursing the British weather

Have your say

Both Long Sutton Sunday teams will feel robbed by the Great British weather after their games were abandoned with them in strong positions.
The first team, electing to bat against Brigstock, mustered 170 from just short of their full allocation of overs, with notable contributions from Paul Edgeller (47) and Barry Stanway (62), who bludgeoned his team to a competitive total despite the opposition’s strong bowling unit. Rain then intervened and no further play was possible.

The seconds entertained Weldon and also chose to bat first, racking up an impressive 241 for 6 from 45 overs. Over half of these were scored by Adam Wright (142). Weather put an end to play after the completion of the Sutton innings.
