David Gillett expects Market Deeping to stay around the top of the table this year.
In the second half of last season their challenge faded but this time the Outgang Road outfit are aiming to be one of the title contenders.
Deeping captain Gillett said: “Theoretically we are a very strong side.
“The expectation here is that we should certainly be in the mix for the top three or four positions.
“We turned around at the halfway point of last season in second place and only a dozen points behind Bourne who went on to become the champions.
“Then collectively we just didn’t produce as a batting or bowling unit.
“The league will be a pretty competitive again. We expect the likes of Bourne, Lindum, Bracebridge Heath, Grantham and Sleaford to be strong.
“We have got some very talented players who are now getting to the stage where they should be accepting responsibility.
“If the performances match our ability then I’m excited by what we can achieve.”
Deeping have brought in South African Emile Kriek while 16-year-old Pat Brown will be available as well as playing for Worcestershire’s academy.
