Spalding Sunday 2nd (105 all out) lost to Weldon (120) by 15 runs

Spalding invited the visitors to bat and new signing Tom Brand opened the bowling with Jon Garner to restrict the visitors to 19-0 after 10 overs.

Weldon reached 67 before Clarke made the breakthrough in the 27th over, dismissing Wright.

He then removed Haynes (13) and Chenery. Wickets continued to fall with Sean Hook bowling a beautiful spell. Weldon eventually reached 120 in their 45 overs . Pick of the bowlers was Hook with 3-11 off eight overs .

In reply Town got off to a bad start and found themselves in a desperate position at 12-6 .

Clarke (32no) joined Jon Garner (16) and both batted well before Garner fell.

Edwards joined Clarke and took the score to 83, before falling to the dangerous Warren. After that Town took the score up to 104 before Brand was caught, leaving Town 16 runs short of the target.
