SKIPPER Peter Morgan hit an unbeaten ton as Bourne’s unlikely title charge gathered yet more pace.

Morgan hit an impressive 110 off 182 balls as the defending champions racked up 234-6 batting first at Skegness. Conrad Louth also chipped in with a handy 60, as Bourne made full use of their 50 overs.

The same couldn’t be said of the hosts though, with Charlie Hopkins (6-28) and Fahad Masood (4-35) ripping through their order in just 20.4 overs, leaving them all out for 72.

The victory sees Bourne jump up to second – and they are now 36 points behind leaders Bracebridge Heath.

Market Deeping, meanwhile, slumped to defeat against Louth.

Tom Andrews took 5-80 as Louth managed 242 batting first – a target that proved just to steep.

Dave Gillett made 70 as Deeping battled bravely, but they were all out for 197.
