CRICKET: Josh’s 58 not enough for Deeping

Have your say

TEEN starlet Josh Bowers made a defiant 58 for Market Deeping on Satuday – but it wasn’t enough to secure a Lincs ECB Premier Division win.

That’s because opponents Lincoln Lindum hit the highest total of the day, finishing 263-7 batting first.

Geoff Middleton made 84, sharing a second wicket partnership of 133 with George Neal (49).

In reply, Deeping reached 114-3, but then lost quick wickets. When top scorer Bowers was out for 58 the score was 127-6, which soon became 150 all out.

Bourne’s waterlogged pitch saw their game against Louth called off. They’ve now seen seven of 14 games washed out.
