MOULTON Harrox Sunday climbed to the top of the South Lincs and Border League Division Three table after winning the only game to take place over a rain-hit weekend.
Opener Jack Barnett hit an unbeaten 72 as Harrox’s second string chased down Claypole’s 105 with ease on Sunday.
Harry Barnett (3-20), Laurence Price (2-13), Oliver Saville (2-15) and Maxwell Cusack (2-15) did the damage with the ball for Moulton, leaving Claypole all out in just 30.5 overs.
Daniel Sullivan’s 23 was the best individual score managed.
Moulton wasted no time in knocking off the runs, with the threat of rain always a possibility.
They lost Jack Cusack (2) and Chris Beale (13), but Barnett was in imperious form.
Accompanied by Joseph Broomfield (13no), he ensured his side reached their target in just 20.1 overs.
No other games were possible over the weekend, with the entire Saturday schedule in the South Lincs and Border League and Lincs ECB Premier Division all abandoned due to the wet weather.
