CRICKET: A sorry end but next year already in mind

Pinchbeck’s season ended in disappointing fashion as they suffered a thrashing at the hands of Boston 3rd, who leapfrogged them in the table in the process.

Put into bat by the visitors, Pinchbeck were skittled out for a mere 55 as the nagging accuracy of Boston’s bowlers proved too much to handle.

Andrew Beeston did provide the home side with some consolation, grabbing three wickets as Boston cruised home.

With a tough 2013 season only just coming to a close, Pinchbeck are already turning their attentions to the 2014 campaign and are eager to attract any aspiring and enthusiastic local cricketers to join their ranks.

Having settled back into the league over the last three years the club are keen to continue but need to bolster their numbers.
