CRICKET: Top two set for title decider in South Lincolnshire & Border League next weekend

Moulton Harrox head to Market Deeping for the championship showdown on Saturday.

The top two in Division One will meet at Outgang Road with Harrox currently holding pole position by nine points.

Moulton’s 13th successive win came at Claypole who were restricted to 166-9.

Alex Baker, Ansar Hussain and Jack Barnett took two wickets each.

Chris Beale (50) shared half-century stands with Mike Kearns (29) and Matthew Barnett (33) before the six-wicket win was sealed by Simon Juckes (33no).

Meanwhile, fourth-placed Baston beat bottom-of-the-table Boston 3rd by 10 wickets.

Jules McAlpine (5-16) and Liam Davies (4-23) dismissed the away side for just 39.

Pinchbeck thrashed Spalding 2nd by 130 runs after Stephen Coles (6-19) and Mike Knight (4-12) bowled them out for 41.

Danny Jackson (78) and Mark Ramsden (49) were the only batsmen to hit double figures in the match.

Spalding’s title defence in the Premier Division was ended by a seven-wicket defeat to Bourne 2nd at Abbey Lawn.

The visitors had been dismissed for 143 as Bourne replaced them at the top of the table.

However, Skegness still have two fixtures and need 14 points to be crowned champions.

Bottom-of-the-table Graves Park conceded to Skegness on Saturday.

Long Sutton lost by 62 runs to Freiston L&L while Billingborough beat Grantham 2nd by 24 runs.
