Holbeach United stage successful junior football tournament

LEARN MOREThe Holbeach footballing community rallied together over the weekend to stage an action-packed two-day junior tournament.
More than 110 teams and around 1,000 footballers attended the event which was held at the Tigers' Community Sports Academy in Pennyhill.
The weather was also kind over both days for a tournament that went really well with organisers receiving lots of positive comments as they revelled in the Academy being so busy with young footballers.
Winners on the days were:
Under 9s: winners – Hampton, runners-up – Crowland; Under 10s: winners – Holbeach Black, runners-up – Hampton Rangers; Under 11s: winners – Holbeach, runners-up – Holbeach; Under 12s: winners – Deeping Claret, runners-up – Stamford Red; Under 13s: winners – City Of Peterborough, runners-up – Wisbech St Mary; Under 14s: winners – Holbeach Skulls, runners-up – Holbeach Pink.
