Welland Yacht Club holds season's first series

Having now caught up with the postponed regattas, a blustery Sunday saw Welland Yacht Club hold Commodores Points – the first series of the season.

Four boats took to the water for race 1, still keeping with the pursuit format. First away were Neal Tack and Rebecca Slator in their Graduate, then Alan Cox (Laser Radial), followed by Tom Bell (full rig Laser) and Paul Burton (Supernova).

With conditions allowing for a long course to be set up to buoy 5 and back to 1, they made their way around, with the fleet gradually bunching closer to the lead boat over the course of the first 45 minutes.
